Scuffles broke out between police and demonstrators in Paris Sunday after thousands of people marched against the government of Francois Hollande and his policy of support for LGBT couples having children. Several demonstrators were arrested.
According to' Manif pour tous' activists, the rally was organised to protest against assisted fertilisation for gay couples and gestational surrogacy, as well as the teaching of LGBT topics in schools.
Protesters chanted slogans such as "Hollande, your law, we still don't want it." Around 2,500 police were deployed to monitor the protest.
