"Yesterday, January 29, brothers Magomet Tagirov and Tagir Batirov were detained in Dagestan as a result of investigative procedures. These individuals were involved in transporting the suicide bombers to Volgograd. They are presently undergoing the required proceedings. We are continuing the investigation in order to identify and locate other criminals related to terrorist attacks in Volgograd, including the organisers."
Two bomb attacks took place in just over 24 hours in December, one blast hitting the main railway station on Dec 29, and the other a day later inside a commuter bus. More than 30 people were killed in the explosions.
