      Switzerland: Chinese FM arrives in Montreux ahead of Geneva II

      Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Montreux on Tuesday, ahead of the upcoming Geneva 2 peace conference. Conference attendees include U.S Secretary of State John Kerry, and delegations from both the Syrian government and the Syrian opposition.

      The UN withdrew an invitation for Iran to attend the peace talks on Monday evening after the Syrian National Coalition (SNC) threatened to pull out if the Islamic Republic attends. Following the UN's announcement, the SNC confirmed its participation.
