Russia: Infighting among Syrian opposition problematic - Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke of his concerns over the destabilising nature of infighting among the Syrian opposition at a Moscow press conference on Tuesday. Lavrov reaffirmed the Russian position of anti-extremism, something which he said is in alignment with sentiments of British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Lavrov is holding his annual media conference to sum up his office's performance in 2013 and comment on the biggest diplomatic events and problems, as well as the most important standing issues. These include the Iranian nuclear deal, efforts to settle the Syrian crisis and Russia's differences with the EU.
