Hundreds commemorated Rev. Dr Martin Luther King Jr. in Los Angeles on Monday at the 29th annual King Day Parade, which had the theme 'Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Us 'Round'.

Marching bands, drill teams and dance teams alike gathered at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Western Avenue to celebrate the life and death of the Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day was made an official federal holiday in 1983 by President Ronald Reagan.
