USA: Mercedes rolls out ultra-futuristic GLA 45 AMG
Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz unveiled its GLA 45 AMG at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit Monday, showcasing a vehicle that is expected to be marketed heavily in the class of compact SUVs.
The GLA 45 AMG boasts a AMG 2.0-litre turbo engine that delivers 360 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque transferred to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system via a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT transmission. It can go from zero to 100 kilometres per hour (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 kilometres per hour (155 mph). It uses 7.5 litres of fuel for every 100 kilometres (62 miles) travelled.
