The new Olympic train tracks in the town of Sochi were not built just for the athletes. Sochi's skyline has a new landmark - a state-of-the-art railway station which will help seamlessly transport the tens of thousands of sports fans to the Games come February.
Around 15 thousand people a day will go through this terminal at Adler Station come the Winter Games, linking spectators to all the different stadiums in the coastal cluster and the mountain cluster in Krasnaya Polyana. Security is will be tight at the station, which has been designed to keep thousands of people moving around the area efficiently and safely.
New train track allows to be moved from sunny Adler to the white-capped mountains of Krasnaya Polyana in no more than 15 minutes. As well as the Games, these trains will be getting Formula 1 fans zipping around this year, as well as World Cup spectators come 2018.
