Ukraine: Thousands rally in Kiev for third day of pro-EU protests
Over 100,000 people have gathered in the Ukrainian capital Kiev to protest against the government's decision to suspend talks over an association deal with the EU.
Opposition leaders joined the protest, thought to be the largest since the 2004 Orange Revolution. A pro-government rally, held a few miles away, reportedly drew a crowd of around 10,000.
On Thursday, Ukraine rejected draft laws that would allow the release of a jailed former PM Yulia Tymoshenko, suspended plans for a trade agreement with the European Union and announced it will renew active dialogue with Russia.
