France: Pony club storms the Bastille
Hundreds of people, including young children mounted on ponies, protested against the Hollande administration's proposed VAT increase for animal industries from 7% to 20% on Sunday at Bastille square.
According to demonstrators the government's decision, due to be enforced on January 1, will lead to the death of equestrianism in France. The demonstrators were accompanied by number of horses and even a Llama.
The protesters along with their animals occupied the Bastille square, much to the amusement of onlookers. Police were present in large numbers including some mounted on horses.
