Georgia: Georgian Dream party takes lead in election exit polls
Georgian Dream party's Giorgi Margvelashvili, from the ruling coalition, is leading in the presidential election with about 68 per cent of the vote, Imedi TV's exit polls suggest.
David Bakradze, who is supported by outgoing president Mikhail Saakashvili, is second with 17,1 per cent, and former parliament speaker, Nino Burdzhanadze, is third with 9,3 per cent.
There were record 23 candidates running for president, with Margvelashvili entering the race as favorite.
