Germany: Madonna strikes a pose at her fitness club launch

Pop legend Madonna officially opened the Berlin branch of her fitness club, Hard Candy, Thursday. Sporting the slogan 'Harder is Better', Berlin's new fitness club offers several programs inspired by Madonna's personalised 'Addicted to Sweat' workouts.

Located on a former US army site, the fitness club aims to help its members 'achieve peak physical and mental fitness' by incorporating dance elements, choreographed by Nicole Winhoffer - Madonna's personal trainer, into the workouts.

Offering 300 courses in cardio, strength, muscle and dance training, other services include free childcare, a 25 meter lap pool, cardio equipment with TV and dance studios.
