Russia: Cutting edge RAE 2013 continues to impress

Russia Arms Expo 2013 (RAE), one of the largest military expos in Russia, kicked off its second exhibition day in Nizhny Tagil on Thursday. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is set to visit the expo on Thursday, where he will be shown a range of the latest in military technology and weaponry.

RAE 2013 brings together all major stakeholders for a series of debates and presentation of military equipment. The exhibition promotes Russian military equipment, arms and ammunition to both domestic and foreign markets. More than 400 exhibitors from 50 countries are expected to take part this year.

This year's expo welcomes officials from Defense Ministries of Algiers, Hungary, Egypt, Israel, Kazakhstan, Poland, France, Czech Republic, and Sweden alongside ambassadors and attaches of Belorussia, China, Laos, Mozambique, Tajikistan, and Sweden.

The RAE has been regularly held since 1999, and runs from September 25 till September 28.
