Germany: New Jaguar C-X17 SUV aluminium architecture unveiled

The new Jaguar C-X17 SUV concept was revealed on the pre-show of the IAA International Motor Show, on Monday, in Frankfurt. The British carmaker stated that the new Jaguar was conceived "as a design study to introduce Jaguar's new, highly-advanced, modular aluminium architecture". The new conception will reportedly allow a lighter and more solid bodywork.

The hybrid gas-electric system and battery-powered cars will be the highlight at the IAA 65th edition. Ten of the most anticipated cars will also be presented during the motor show, including the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sports car, the Ferrari 458 Speciale, the Mercedes S 500 plug-in hybrid and the Audi Sport Quattro concept plug-in hybrid.

The show will open its doors for industry visitors on Thursday 12 and for the public on Saturday 14 and it will run until September 22. The show is expected to attract almost one million people.
