At a pro-Morsi protest camp in Rabaa resistance to the army removal of Egypt's Freedom and Justice Party government is emblazoned on posters and placards revering the "martyrs" of the pro-Morsi struggle and denouncing the army crackdowns.
Family members clamour at a morgue in Cairo's Zenhom district Zenhom, demanding the bodies of their dead. Bystanders said funerals were delayed because officials sought to doctor the coroner's reports on those shot by the armed forces.
Ahmad al-Nashor, spokesperson for the coalition running the square, said: "The medical officials will have to their change their report, to basically say where they were shot from and the type of bullets are not the one's that were used by the army. So there were big fights."
Rabaa Al-Adaweya, was the site of an ongoing demonstrations in support of ousted president Mohamed Morsi on Tuesday, after clashes on Monday between the Republican Guard and Morsi loyalists left 51 dead and 435 injured, according to a Ministry of Health statement.
