      Russia: Costner's "Modern West" perform in the East

      Hollywood actor, Kevin Costner and his country-rock group, Modern West perform in Moscow for the first time Wednesday.

      Kevin Costner began to play and write music nearly 20 years ago but only formed the band in 2007 after following his wife's advice. They embarked on a worldwide tour in the same year which included visits to Turkey and Italy. This will be the first time that the band have perfomed in Russia. Their first concert will be at The State Kremlin Palace and they are scheduled to perform in St Petersburg Thursday at the Oktyabrsky Grand Concert Hall.

      Modern West have released four studio albums to date with the debut album charting at number 61 on the Billboard Top Country Albums. In 2010 they released their second album, Turn It On, in Europe only which resulted in the album charting at number 28 in the German charts.
