Russian deputies welcomed African delegations at Domodedovo airport in the Moscow region on Saturday ahead of the Russia-Africa Parliamentary Conference.

Footage shows deputies greeting and talking to representatives of African countries in the airport hall.

African delegations arrived in Moscow to take part in the Second International Russia-Africa Parliamentary Conference under the patronage of the State Duma on March 19-20. Delegations from 40 African countries will take part, as will more than 200 parliamentarians of various ranks. Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to speak at the conference on March 20.

The conference is a preparatory event for the Russia-Africa summit in St Petersburg on July 27-28.
