Happy Hump Day! Turkmenistan’s factories ramp up camel hair blanket production
Turkmenistan has expanded its production of camel hair blankets for export to CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries, following increased demand both domestically and abroad.
Ruptly footage shows Yazdurdy Annaev, a resident of Akhal province, herding camels in a field as well as employees of the Hektepe leather factory sewing blankets from the wool.
The natural product is made using centuries-old traditions, combined with modern technology. Duvets made from camel hair provide good heat insulation and have a long lifespan.
