South Africa: 'Putin sends his best regards' - Lavrov at meeting with President Ramaphosa

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov delivered the 'best regards' of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the leader of the South African Republic Cyril Ramaphosa, during their talks in Pretoria on Monday.

"President Putin sends his best regards, congratulations on your party reelection," the diplomat said.

According to Lavrov, earlier in the day he had held talks with his South African colleague Naledi Pandor. The meeting was friendly and useful, added the Russian diplomat.

The Russian Foreign Minister arrived for his working visit to South Africa on Monday.
