
Syria: Russian bombers conduct airstrikes against Deir-ez-Zor targets
Russia's Ministry of Defence released footage of six Tupolev Tu-22 M3 bombers striking militant targets near the Syrian city of Deir-ez-Zor on Sunday.
The long-range bombers took off from bases inside the country and struck two militant command posts as well as hitting arms depots and various military vehicles.
Air support and cover was provided by a Su-30SM and a Su-35S which were set off from the Hmeymin airbase.
According to the Russian Defence Ministry, high-explosive fragmenting munitions were used for the mission, with all Tupolev bombers returning home safely.
