Germany: This is the building the CIA mole may have thrown into chaos!

German secret agents across the world could be at risk after it emerged that a double agent, exposed last year, stole a database containing thousands of agents real identities and that he may have sold it to a third party. Up to 3,500 German spies are potentially at risk.

The double agent, identified only as Markus R, attained a top secret list with intelligence officers' real names, aliases and locations whilst he worked for the BND (Bundesnachrichtendienst). The exposing of Markus R caused a diplomatic crisis between Germany and the US, after he was exposed as a double-agent for the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency).

The revelation was the second of two incidents which strained German-US relations, after Edward Snowden's revelations that the NSA (National Security Agency) were spying on Angela Merkel's phone calls.
