Habeck presents government’s annual economic report to Bundestag
Economy and Climate Minister Robert Habeck presents the German government’s annual economic report to the Bundestag in Berlin on Thursday, January 26.
The Council of Economic Experts presented its own report, 'Managing the energy crisis in solidarity, shaping the new reality', in November last year. It also contained the fourth national report produced by the German National Committee for productivity.
The Council report claimed that the Ukraine conflict had hugely impacted private households and companies, already struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic and supply chain disruption, and called for joint measures with other European partners.
In the mid-term, it demanded reform of the economic and monetary union, reduced international dependencies and the building of a skilled labour market.
