Dozens of people went to the entrance of the Polish Border Guard’s headquarters in Warsaw on Saturday to protest against human rights violations at the border between Poland and Belarus.

Footage shows protesters holding flags and signs, such as ‘All refugees welcome’, I'm ashamed of my country', and 'Yes to refugees, no to fascists.'

"We do not know how many people died at this border. Probably hundreds of people, probably more bodies will be found and let us emphasize that this situation is still ongoing,” said one of the protesters.

On July 1, 2022, Poland completed the construction of a wall at the border with Belarus to restrain the entrance of asylum seekers.

According to local media, 37 refugees died at the Poland-Belarus frontier, and approximately 300 people are still missing.

The protest is part of the World Against Racism campaign ahead of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, March 21.
