Spain: Dozens of activists protest against King Felipe VI's visit to Barcelona
Around 200 activists gathered outside the International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB) on Tuesday, to protest against the visit of King Felipe VI to the city.
Footage features protesters blowing whistles, holding placards and flags, as well as shouting slogans like 'Down with the Bourbons' and 'Independence'.
"As the Court also told us today (or has given rise to), of justice of the European Union, the Catalan pro-independence men and women are surely a group objectively identified as a group that the Spanish justice system severely punishes, puts us in lawsuits with interpretations contrary to those imprisoned and those subjected to reprisals, against the law," Nuria Feliu, President of Assemblea Nacional Catalana (ANC), said.
During his first visit to Barcelona this year, the King presided over the awarding of offices of the 71st Promotion of the Judicial Career, after attending the opening of the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) fair
