France: Bakers and restaurant-owners march on Economy Ministry over soaring energy bills
French Bakers, restaurant owners and craftsmen marched in the streets of Paris between the Place de la Nation and the Ministry of Economy over soaring energy costs.
As many as a thousand protesters rallied under "collective for the survival of the bakery and the craft industry" to demonstrate their anger against the increase in the prices of energy.
Under new energy bills, some have seen their bills multiplied by three or even ten. Because of the high costs, some businesses have already closed in recent months.
