China: Spectators watch Winter Olympics closing ceremony in front of giant TV screens in Beijing

Locals were seen watching a broadcast of the 2022 Winter Olympics closing ceremony on a giant TV screen in central Beijing, on Sunday night.

The screen was set up amongst 26 similar public viewing opportunities across the capital, enabling locals to be part of the event.

The Winter Olympics came to an end on Sunday, with an official closing ceremony. Less than 100,000 spectators were able to watch the games live due to strict COVID19 restrictions. Beijing is set welcome around 600 of the world’s best Paralympic athletes for the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games starting on March 4.
