The wild boar Gervasio grew up to be a special friend for his owner Adrian, as seen in Mar de las Pampas, on Wednesday.
Adrian Gomez Becco moved to the coastal city 15 years ago for a job, which was considered "the first slow city in Argentina" due to its paradisiacal Atlantic coast beaches and its modest size of about two thousand inhabitants. His salary and savings allowed him to buy a house with a back yard, where he raised Gervasio after adopting him as a cub.
"They had hunted him and brought him in a bag, I was very sorry, I asked them, they gave him to me, I started raising him there under the clay oven," said Adrian.
Since then, Gervasio grew up together with two dogs and developed similar habits and preferences for cuddling as his canine siblings. Adrian was seen feeding Gervasio with dog food and bathing him.
"He's a sweetheart, I arrive on the motorcycle and he is waiting for you, he hears the door and he starts yelling to get out, eat and do the sweetie," said Becco.
According to the owner, the boar especially likes pumpkin, watermelon and tomatoes and has exquisite taste, as he would not eat a mere piece of lettuce. His owner also advises against meat, but shared that grass roots were among Gervasio's favorite foods.
