Enthusiasts and collectors could bet on Vin Diesel's car in the 'Fast and Furious' movie franchise on Wednesday in Scottsdale, Arizona, as the 1987 Buick Grand National headed to auction.

Visitors could look and attempt to purchase the glossy black car, which is the original used in the movie series.

"Overall, the fact that it's an original, in the movie, that's what I like about it, it's got a statue of its own because it is original. It's not as pretty as some of the other cars here of Barett Jackson, but it's not meant to be - this is an original movie car," said Tony Martin, a visitor at the auction house.

The car was first presented in the opening sequence of the fourth 'Fast and Furious' film, which featured high-speed driving in reverse. The vehicle was specifically customised for those scenes, featuring a roll cage with a fake passenger seat designed for filming purposes.
