USA: 'Mirthmobile' from Hollywood cult classic 'Wayne's World' up for auction
The original 'Mirthmobile' from the 1992 movie Wayne's World, is up for sale at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction, that takes place from January 22-30, in Scottsdale, Arizona, as seen on Tuesday.
The car, which is an 1976 AMC Pacer, even has the licorice dispenser and the Queen CD, featuring the song Bohemian Rhapsody, which the protagonists Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) sung in one of the most iconic scenes of the movie.
The vehicle, which is going on the block ahead of the film's 30th anniversary, is painted in the same blue colour as in the movie and it also has the familiar flame stickers on its side.
"This is a very cool car, it's the car from Wayne's World, I think it'll go for a lot of money, it does have the licorice dispenser on the roof, I checked," said Cameron, an attendee of the auction.
In 2016, the car was sold for $37,400 (€33,000)in another Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas.
