Forty-seven-year-old mason Le Hoang Linh was seen working on perfecting his house, which is made of thousands of glass bottles, in Cam Thanh Commune, Hoi An City, on Sunday.

Linh has spent the past 15 years constructing the house from used glass bottles, making this two-story building the most recognisable in the neighbourhood.

The builder explained how his motive to build the unique house came in the early 2000's when seeing too many glass bottles thrown away from restaurants.

"It took me 5-6 years to collect the bottles. I collected all the bottles [the restaurants] dumped then later separated them into groups based on my ideas," said Linh.

Linh went on to explain that he doesn't work on the house every day, continuing his project only when he has free time.

Having begun the house in 2006, Linh is currently working solo on the intricate task, claiming that other builders lack the expertise needed to make the bottles stick.
