Protesters gathered in Madrid on Friday, joining similar demonstrations across Europe as part of the Fridays for Future anti-climate change demonstrations.

Protesters can be seen gathering in front of the Congress of Deputies, where they chanted slogans and held signs.

"We are here today demonstrating in front of the Congress of Deputies, like we are doing in many other cities in Spain and also in other places worldwide, protesting against the actual problems we are facing: a social, health crisis and also an ecologic emergency we have been facing for a very long time," said local Spokesperson of Fridays For Future, Claudia Laguna.

Similar events were held in many major European cities on Friday, after being put on hiatus due to the coronavirus outbreak.
