Washington Nationals baseball team's first baseman Ryan Zimmerman and catcher Kurt Suzuki attended the team's World Series title celebration at the White House in Washington DC on Monday.

Suzuki was seen wearing a trademark cap of Trump's election campaign, reading: 'Make America Great Again,' with Zimmerman, in turn, expressing his gratitude to Trump "for keeping everyone here safe in our country and continuing to make America the greatest country to live in the world."

Zimmerman was also seen presenting a customized baseball jersey to the US President.

As media reports, some of the team's players refused to take part in White House celebrations.
