
UK: Warships sail past Portsmouth on route to Normandy for D-Day commemorations
Several frigates sailed past Portsmouth on Wednesday evening, ahead of the 75th anniversary of D-Day, which will be celebrated in Normandy on Thursday.
Footage shows the Royal Navy's HMS St Albans and four P2000s as well as the Royal Canadian Navy's HMCS St. John's departing. They will sail with the HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier to Normandy.
Donald Trump, Theresa May and 14 other world leaders will attend the commemoration which will honour up to 300 World War II veterans on Thursday.
