State of Palestine: Mass funeral held for two killed in Israeli airstrikes
Thousands flooded the streets of the northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday for the funeral of Mohammed Odeh and Mohammed al-Tatri, who were killed on Monday in Israeli airstrikes targeting the area.
After taking Odeh’s body to his home in the Jabalia refugee camp, where the grieving family said its goodbyes, a crowd carried him to the Zayed mosque for prayers. The two processions then met up on their way to main cemetery where thousands of Palestinians followed, chanting and waving flags.
The airstrikes reportedly killed three, including Mohammed al-Nahal, 23, in the eastern city of Rafah, sources say, while at least five others were injured. The airstrikes were launched in response to around 200 rockets allegedly fired from Gaza, which hit Israel and are said to have wounded six.
