Switzerland: RUSADA says it's 'doing everything' to comply with global anti-doping standards
Russian Anti-Doping Agency's (RUSADA) director-general Yuri Ganus spoke to the press outside the main stage of the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) symposium in Lausanne on Wednesday, assuring them RUSADA is "doing everything" to comply with global anti-doping standards.
"It does not depend on us, we have done everything, really, RUSADA has done everything, even more so we are working closely with WADA [World Anti-Doping Agency] and the audit committee, and we are really doing everything for this", Ganus stated.
Speaking on stage, Ieva Lukosiute-Stanikuniene, an international expert working within RUSADA, stated "we have good access to the athletes and in 95 per cent, athletes are happy to be tested" while Ganus admitted that doping is "the main problem of today" and spoke of the need for a cultural change to resolve the issue.
