German: CDU's Kloeckner says coalition talks in 'final sprint'
CDU member Julia Kloeckner said the coalition talks are undergoing a 'final sprint' but that the parties will keep negotiating. Speaking in Berlin on Monday, she expressed her hope that the final document will be presented tomorrow.
Kloeckner also added that she is confident that the coalition agreement will be reached today, but has in any case postponed her flight to tomorrow. There is "a common and serious interest to come to an end, a good end and then to present a good paper," she stated.
The parties are still trying to reach an agreement on some issues, for instance over health policies, as indicated by Kloeckner. "We should look where there are gaps and where we need to be better on the issue of the health politics," she said.
