Russia: We have every chance to be global leader in tech revolution - Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his confidence that Russia will become a leader in certain key high-technology areas of the global economy in the upcoming decades, including in peaceful nuclear technologies, space, aviation manufacturing and defense industries.

Speaking at his annual question-and-answer press conference, held in Moscow on Friday, Putin said that many of Russia's industries were "totally competitive," noting that defence industries had seen a "real boom in labour capacity there," that should affect civil industries as well.
