Italy: ‘We will not stop until it is clarified’ – Renzi on Puglia train crash probe
Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi delivered a statement in Milan on Tuesday, following a train crash in Puglia, southern Italy, which killed at least 20 people earlier in the day.
After expressing his condolences to the families of the victims, Renzi said that the government would investigate the causes of the crash.
“It is also absolutely necessary to find out who is responsible for this incident, and to know what happened. Because I think that is a question that has to be clarified in full. We will not stop until it is clarified," Renzi stated.
The two four-carriage trains were travelling towards each other on a single-track line between the towns of Corato and Andria.
