
Ukraine: Deputy attacked in the Rada for speaking Russian
A fight broke out in Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, in Kiev, on Wednesday after independent Deputy Volodymyr Parasyuk attacked the Dmitri Kolesnikov, a deputy from the Opposition Bloc.
Parasyuk became enraged after Kolesnikov, speaking in Russian, criticised the work of Lviv authorities and called for re-election of the city's mayor.
Parasyuk who is a veteran of the conflict in east Ukraine as well as the Maidan protests, attacked Kolesnikov tearing away his microphone, before pushing other deputies who were attempting to separate the pair. During the melee Parasyuk received a cut on his eyebrow and a bloody nose.
