
Iran: Thousands in Tehran celebrate nuclear deal
Large numbers of people celebrated on the streets of Tehran on Tuesday, after the nuclear deal was reached. Iranians honked their car horns and flashed victory signs in celebration after the announcement of the historic nuclear agreement with the P5+1 group. Pictures of the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif were seen hanging on car windows, also 'Zarif' chants were heard, praising his role in reaching the agreement.
The agreement relieves many of the sanctions imposed on Iran in return for Iran accepting certain curbs on its nuclear programme. Under this agreement, Iran will be able to maintain its nuclear infrastructure for energy purposes.
