Italy: Protesters demand justice for 17-year-old shot by police
Dozens of inhabitants of the Traiano neighbourhoud in Napoli gathered in the streets on Saturday after a 17-year-old boy was shot dead by a police officer earlier this week. Davide Bifolco was shot after allegedly breaking a police checkpoint with two other boys.
Since the event last Thursday, neighbours have burned several police cars and protesters have repeatedly gathered outside the local police station. Police say the shot was fired accidentally but Bifolco's family says he was rammed off his scooter by police before the fatal shooting.
