
Iraq: Hundreds of thousands flee ISIS takeover
Massive queues continued at the Khazair Checkpoint in the Iraqi region of Kurdistan on Thursday as residents fled the areas overrun by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). United Nations staff are said to be on the ground assisting refugees.
Following the capture of Mosul by ISIS forces, local authorities say an additional 300,000 people have fled the area in recent days.
