Lagarde speaks at EP Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs

President of the European Central Bank (ECB) Christine Lagarde gives an opening statement at a public hearing of the European Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs in Brussels on Monday, March 20. Discussions are expected to focus on the economic outlook and recent ECB monetary policy decisions, as well as ongoing inter-institutional negotiations. On Tuesday, another meeting will focus on the failure of Silicon Valley Bank and the implications for financial stability in Europe.
