Campaign placards for the upcoming Berlin state and municipal elections were seen across the German capital on Friday, as voters prepared to hit the polls on Sunday.

In the footage, campaign posters can be seen hanging across Berlin featuring slogans such as "On 12 February, please turn: Berlin to positive" by the Free Democrats (FDP), "Climate gluers to prison! Hard but just" by the Alternative fur Deutschland (AfD), "Renovate schools. Build new ones" by the Left Party, and "Social moves more" by the Social Democrats (SPD), among others.

Germany's Federal Constitutional Court annulled the state and municipal elections held in September 2021, ordering a repeat on February 12 to appoint Berlin's mayor and local representatives.

Accprding to the court, around 60 percent of the seats in Berlin’s local parliament were affected by problems surrounding the election, which saw voters queueing for hours due to lacking ballot papers as voting booths struggled to print more, while others closed too late, making it possible to vote even after the first results came in, among other issues.
