Pakistan: Mosque bomber 'was in police uniform' - Peshawar police
The mosque bomber who claimed over 100 lives was clad in a police uniform, the Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Moazzam Jah Ansari told reporters during a presser in Peshawar on Thursday.
"He was in police uniform. He wore suicide jacket and it was like a normal jacket a policeman wears. He wore a helmet and a mask. We have found his bike. The engine number was removed from it but we have found it," Ansari confirmed.
On January 30, a powerful explosion ripped through a mosque in Peshawar’s Red Zone area where between 300 and 400 people — mostly police officers — had gathered for prayers.
The suicide blast blew away the wall of the prayer hall and an inner roof claiming 101 lives.
