Hundreds of competitors were seen taking part in the traditional Chinese New Year race on Sunday, to mark the 'Year of the Rabbit'.
Footage shows the athletes, mostly of Chinese origins, starting and finishing the course at Paseo de Recoletos, for either a 5.8km or 16km route. Performers are also seen operating a huge dragon puppet.
"It's the first time I've participated in this race and I really liked it", commented one of the runners. "There were a lot of people, so you take all the emotion with you".
Lunar New Year, also known as Spring Festival or Chinese New Year, is the most important traditional holiday in the Chinese calendar. The 'Year of the Rabbit' began on January 22.
