Duan Xianyong, a barber from Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, made the model of the Yellow Crane Tower out of 5,465 chopsticks. The incredible manual labour took a year, three months, and 19 days.

Images captured on Thursday show the details of Chopstick Yellow Crane Tower, with moving doors and windows, interior decorations, and lighting effects. Many other works of art also adorn his small barbershop, including peach pit artwork, toothpick carts, toothpick holders, etc.

Duan made his chopstick artwork by using disposable chopsticks, which need disinfection after washing. I disinfect them and then dry them. This step of drying needs to be carefully done. The chopsticks will be deformed and bend if the temperature is too high," he explained.

Duan has never visited the Yellow Crane Tower. To finish this work, he did his own research to see the external structure. "You can see the surface structure of the Yellow Crane Tower from the photos, but you don't know the internal structure. Therefore, I found a documentary about the Yellow Crane Tower on the Internet," he said.

Clients marvel at his artwork and say the barbershop is turning into a mini art gallery. The Yellow Crane Tower is located in Wuhan, a famous Chinese landmark with a long history. People can enjoy the view of the Yangtze River there.
