Beijing set up makeshift fever clinic at Guang An sports center in Xicheng District to relieve the pressure of large hospitals and provide more convenient medical treatment services to locals.

Recently, the Covid infection in Beijing is in rapid growth again, but the vast majority consists of asymptomatic infections and mild cases.

Footage shows residents visiting makeshift clinic as medics waiting for the patients in specially equipped testing rooms located in blue tents set in sports gym.

The temporary outpatient fever clinic accepts patients between the ages of 16 and 65 with no underlying medical conditions and when it is not an emergency.

The makeshift fever clinic offers three kinds of medicines, including antipyretics and chest medicines, and patients can pay for the medicines through health insurance.

Makeshift fever clinics have been set up in many districts of Beijing, such as Xicheng, Dongcheng, and Chaoyang.
