Russia: Kerch schools to be guarded after deadly college shooting - Crimea Head
Prime Minister of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov said that all Kerch schools will be guarded starting Thursday following deadly shooting that killed 19 at Kerch Polytechnic College.
Aksenov told reporters on Wednesday that the motive behind the shooting is not yet clear, adding that the killer was a 4th year student of the college.
The Head of Crimea added that children can be brought to schools and kindergartens as 100 soldiers of the National Guard are arriving to watch over the buildings.
"Every school will be guarded by two armed soldiers of the National Guard and they will be working until the threat is over," stressed Aksenov.
According to the Russian Investigative Committee, the attack was carried out by 18-year-old college student Vladislav Roslyakov, who went on a shooting rampage in the school and afterwards killed himself.
His body was found with a gunshot wound in one of the college's rooms.
