
Ukraine: Masked men attack left-wing rally in Kiev
A gathering of leftist activists was attacked by a group of masked men reportedly linked to the 'Azov Battalion,' in Kiev on Thursday. The left-wing supporters had gathered to celebrate 25 years since a referendum in the USSR in which the majority had voted in favour of preserving the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
Around 15 men attacked the activists, seizing their flags and pouring an unidentified liquid on some of the demonstrators. One person sustained a head injury in the violence.
