
Russia: Putin and Morocco's King Mohammed VI strengthen bilateral ties
Russian President Vladimir Putin and King Mohammed VI of Morocco signed a series of bilateral agreements following a meeting in Moscow, Tuesday.
Among the documents signed were agreements on mutual cooperation in trade, transport, energy, agriculture, fishing and air communication.
Earlier on Tuesday, Putin and King Mohammed VI met to discuss the situation in Syria and increasing bilateral cooperation with a specific focus on economic development.
The Moroccan king was last in Moscow on an official visit in 2002, when both countries signed a bilateral agreement on strategic partnership. In 2006 Putin went to Morocco, during which time he signed several documents including the Memorandum of Understanding between Russia's Vnesheconombank and the Bank of Foreign Trade of Morocco.
